Job Description - Strategic Development Manager Higher Education

The Challenge

Adobes enterprise education business continues to grow. We are looking to recruit a passionate, knowledgeable education professional to help develop and expand the adoption of Adobes Creative Cloud in the higher education market across North America. The Strategic Development Manager for Higher Education will joina successful team that focuses on the key customer and institutional relationships that help shape the future direction and success of Adobes Creative Cloud for all students and faculty. In parallel, they will work in partnership with Product Management and Engineering plus Product Marketing teams and Sales to drive cross-functional Go To Market initiatives through Creative Cloud Enterprise. The role will primarily focus on Higher Education teachers and administrators, at the state/national level. The ideal candidate is a passionate and credible educator with real-world classroom experience, knowledge of Adobe's creative tools and services, and experience with creativity and creative tools in the classroom.

The successful candidate will be comfortable presenting and engaging in meetings and discussions with senior academic executives both externally and inside Adobe. Their work will be regularly reviewed and discussed at the executive level.

Responsibilities

  • While strategic development managers dont sell directly, they do play a strategic advisor role to our field organization. Youll accompany account managers to demonstrate products, host in?house PD sessions, and answer questions.
  • Help drive community and industry engagement to promote Adobes position in Digital Literacy
  • Work with Product Management, Research, Design, Engineering and Product marketing to deliver product and industry insight
  • Create, execute and contribute to a range of initiatives designed to grow Adobes Creative Cloud enterprise offering in higher education
  • Help define and lead enablement and adoption initiatives for Adobes Creative Cloud in Adobes enterprise education customer base
  • In collaboration with your team, develop performance & success metrics & regularly report customer success to executive teams
  • Travel to visit customers and to contribute to higher education market and community events
  • Work Experience

  • 5 or more years related experience in higher education, in areas like curriculum development, teaching and learning, technology in classroom
  • A deep passion for the education space youll be a champion for students and teachers, alike.
  • Experience using Adobe creativity tools in the classroom.
  • Experience in managing teams, including talent development, is an advantage
  • Additional experience in Business Development or Product management is preferable
  • Experience of managing customer engagements
  • Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent presentation skills, from presenting on stage at conferences, to faculty who are devising new ways to incorporate creating in learning
  • In-depth knowledge of the higher Education market
  • Established network in the higher Education Community
  • Knowledge of and experience with Adobes Creative Cloud
  • Strong interpersonal skills. Has developed, in previous roles, strong, lasting relationships with multiple stakeholders, partners and customers
  • Proven ability to lead, manage and inspire
  • Strong organizational skills.
