This role is responsible for engaging broker agents and direct customers to lead the Joint Business Planning process in order to achieve assigned sales and financial budgets. This includes but is not limited to sales, trade and market level activity-based objectives - Assortment, Merchandising, Pricing and Shelving objectives - as well as speed to shelf targets for all new product innovation. This role leads the development and successful execution of category brand objectives and strategies through broker agents and direct selling to customers that align with Amplify Snack Brand's corporate priorities. This will be accomplished through driving effective joint business planning, trade strategy, cross-functional alignment and coordination, communication and insights and reporting that influence and align Amplify brands with customer marketing and branding strategies.
* Develop bottoms up, fact-based sales plans using syndicated and shipment data and ensure execution of top and bottom line AOP (Annual Operating Plan) at key customers within the assigned region (Convenience channel Eastern U.S.) * Develop and oversee the execution of customer marketing and market level programs aligning with brand strategy * Ownership of accurate bottoms up sales forecasts for all customers submitted monthly. Collaborate with Amplify cross functional teams to ensure everyday, promotional and seasonal volume is captured accurately (timely and amount) * Align category and brand strategies and leading Amplify Snack Brands sales planning process with assigned customers, brokers and distributors * Lead routine and ad-hoc brand specific business analyses (eg: brand performance, competitive analysis, consumer tracking, customer/shopper tracking, shipment, customer spins and other analyses) incorporating varied data sources (eg: POS, panel, Spectra, etc.) * Leverage market, category, customer and brand performance reporting and analyses to effectively translate facts into insights driven selling propositions * Lead the development of retailer solutions for base business and/or innovation through the integration of Broker and distributor capabilities to drive retail presence of Amplify Snack Brands * Lead Broker and Distributor Development in the marketplace inclusive of: * training, goal setting, execution, monitoring and adjust support model as necessary * trade planning processes including trade effectiveness and efficiency which drive return on investment utilizing all available analytical tools created by sales strategy department * lead, motivate, train and engage to drive regional sales and category management processes by leveraging selling tools for Amplify Snack Brands which influence customer category strategy, assortment, pricing, promotion, and layout / location * Coordinate with cross-functional teams to provide impactful routine and ad-hoc daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual sales communications
* Bachelor's Degree * Minimum 10+ years related industry experience with CPG company; Demonstrated understanding and success within Convenience through both big CPG and small entrepreneurial manufacturer experiences * Strong understanding and demonstrated leadership experience with Broker Management and Category Management practices and principles * Ability to deal with ambiguity and be effective in an ever-changing marketplace * Strong leadership / persuasion and influence skills * Ability to analyze/interpret data and determine key actions in response * Superior communication skills, both verbal and written * Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Powerpoint), Trade Systems, Syndicated Data * Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving, and collaborative entrepreneurial environment * Travel requirements - 50-65%
