This exciting role at Dentsply Sirona will be responsible for our global procurement team and function reporting to our Chief Supply Chain Officer.
The scope of this role will include;
Developing, implementing and maintaining best in class procurement strategies by applying Best Practices category management strategic sourcing strategies, techniques and processes.
Consolidating direct and indirect procurement associates and activities into one global team
Delivering on annual goals and objectives
Developing make/buy/toll process
Leads and develops a center-led category management team that creates sustainable, best in class procurement strategies to realize strategic procurement objectives including year over year cost reduction targets, working capital improvement, service level improvements, supply risk mitigation and achievement of QSTV (Quality/Service/Technology/Value) strategic supplier performance targets in line with business objectives.
Develop the direct and indirect team members to continuously improve the effectiveness of category management / strategic sourcing programs, techniques and processes. Innovates and defines the multi-year category plan / roadmap that is synchronized with business unit partners from GIP phase 2 through mass production.
Support executive relationships with top suppliers and employs SRM methods aligned with Sr. Executive stakeholders within the company.
Develop and implement world class systems/tools, training, SOP and policy deployment. Mitigates supply base complexity. Leverage supply base innovations to improve new product development speed, competiveness and R&D expenses.
Key Required Skills, Knowledge and Capabilities:
Masters degree preferred
5+ years of Category or equivalent management
Years and Type of Experience:
Minimum 10+ years of functional procurement experience with a large multi-national company, preferably with a company known for procurement Best Practices
Key Required Skills, Knowledge and Capabilities:
Experience in an FDA regulatory environment preferred.
Led strategic best practices in low-cost country sourcing and supplier integration.
Creation and implementation of global procurement/sourcing strategies, increased supplier productivity, enhanced supplier integration, and improved product delivery while continuing to improve product quality, working capital, and overall supply chain processes
Strong influencing and relationship skills required
Excellent communications and presentation skills
Large scale change capabilities and experience are essential for success in this role.
